About The Position

The Warehouse Lead oversees the put away of inbound product into our inventory and the pulling and staging of the outbound products for shipment. They are responsible for the flow of product into and out of inventory to the shipping locations. This role involves directing Arhaus employees and temporary associates under the direct supervision and guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor. In this role the lead will accurately create assignments while maintaining and constantly improving day to day put away and pulling operations to ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy are achieved. The primary focus is to ensure operations safely, productively, and effectively with high quality to ensure business needs are met.

Requirements

High school diploma; College degree preferred
No less than 2 years of warehouse experience
Proficient in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar suite
Ability to train individuals in the putaway, pulling and warehouse processing functions
Dedicated to business and willing to adjust schedule and hours as needed to support the department’s needs
Will be standing while performing their respective job function for extended periods of time.
Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling
No physical limitations that limit the ability to carry and move furniture weighing up to 150 pounds.
Will need to be certified on a reach truck and pallet jack
Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

Oversees the putaway of inbound product into inventory and the pulling and staging of outbound products for shipment.
Responsible for the flow of product into and out of inventory to shipping locations.
Directs Arhaus employees and temporary associates under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.
Accurately creates assignments while maintaining and improving day-to-day putaway and pulling operations to ensure high inventory accuracy.
Ensures operations are conducted safely, productively, and effectively with high quality to meet business needs.
Sets the tone and provides leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned Distribution Center team members and temporary associates.
Supports other departmental leads within all areas.
Supports management initiatives on and off the floor to ensure compliance with policies/procedures, process improvement, and drive team member initiatives.
Assists the Warehouse Supervisor with utilizing the delivery schedule to create the daily door sheet and coding the delivery schedule to align with the day’s workload.
Assists the Warehouse Supervisor with the creation and execution of the shift plan for putaway and pulling that is aligned with the overall DC Daily Plan.
Ensures AWM work schedules are assigned prior to the start of shift by evaluating staffing and cross-referencing with the vacation schedule.
Ensures SHP locations are clear in STORIS prior to pulling any new product and reports any discrepancies to Selection Supervisors immediately.
Works with associates to assist pulling product, provide coverage for breaks, and ensure the team is not having downtime.
Reports to a Supervisor any associate not working during their scheduled work times.
Relays time-sensitive information and conflicts between associates in a professional and confidential manner.
Ensures monthly safety topics are reviewed with the team during morning meetings and conducts equipment audits regularly.
Emphasizes safety and identifies any unsafe work practices, reporting them to the supervisor.
Reads and understands job aids/work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute component flow requirements.
Maintains, refines, and/or improves processes within the area to meet customer requirements, including deadlines and quality standards.
Provides a positive and engaging working environment focusing on DC metrics, ensuring housekeeping standards are developed into daily processes.
