You will weigh and measure shipments, plan trailer cube utilization and weight distribution, inspect and count freight, and document shortages or damage. You will review freight bills and manifests for instructions, exceptions, labels, and destination codes. When handling hazardous materials, you will verify product descriptions, identify paperwork discrepancies, and confirm proper placarding.
