About The Position

Outbound Call & Business Development Specialist – Walters Hospitality Are you a confident communicator who thrives on connecting with people and turning conversations into opportunities? Do you enjoy a fast-paced, goal-driven environment where your outreach directly impacts revenue growth? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Outbound Call & Business Development Specialist with Walters Hospitality. In this role, you’ll be the front line of our business development efforts, proactively generating new revenue through strategic outbound calling. You’ll focus on booking holiday, seasonal, team, and group events at our venues, as well as introducing and selling our ancillary services (floral, DJ, photography, stationery, bridal, jewelry, and more) to partner venues. Your persistence, professionalism, and relationship-building skills will play a key role in expanding our sales pipeline and partnerships.

Requirements

  • Strong phone presence with excellent verbal communication skills
  • Comfort making 25–50 outbound calls per day
  • Confidence speaking with business owners, HR leaders, and venue decision makers
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and documentation habits
  • Motivated by performance metrics, goals, and commission opportunities
  • Basic computer proficiency, including CRM systems, email, and spreadsheets
  • Submit/complete a background check; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-Verify
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role with comparable responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Previous outbound sales, hospitality, events, or wedding industry experience preferred
  • College degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Make a high volume of daily outbound calls to businesses, HR departments, nonprofits, schools, sports teams, clubs, and community organizations
  • Proactively contact wedding and event venues to introduce and sell Walters Hospitality’s ancillary services
  • Qualify leads, identify decision makers, and schedule meetings or tours for internal sales teams
  • Present company offerings and value propositions clearly and professionally over the phone
  • Send follow-up emails, brochures, pricing sheets, and service information as needed
  • Build and maintain targeted calling lists with consistent follow-up cadence
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of calls, contacts, opportunities, and outcomes
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity and performance goals
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and share industry and competitor insights
