About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking an OTR Driver to join our team! This role is responsible for safely and efficiently driving a tractor-trailer between production and distribution facilities. The company is jointly owned by Suntory and PepsiCo, with a legacy of providing PepsiCo products to the Carolinas and beyond. They make, sell, and distribute PepsiCo and other beverages, and also develop their own line of beverages. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DOT CDL class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license.
• Two Years tractor – trailer experience required.
• Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading.
• Able to pass a PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours.
• Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under guidelines set forth in Federal Motor Carriers Handbook.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.
• Average oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Operates an 80,000 pound tractor and semi-trailer carrying product to pre-determined destinations.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle will operate safely.
• Positions trailers at docks for loading and unloading product.
• Keeps and maintains a driver’s log book each day.
• Other duties as assigned.
