OTR Class A Owner Operator
About The Position
Clean Harbors is looking for an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Salt Lake City, Utah or Las Vegas, NV. This lane will cover between SLC/ Las Vegas area to the San Jose area in Northern California. The drivers can be based out of Salt Lake area in Utah or in Nevada (Reno or Las Vegas). It is about 700-750 miles between facilities one way, so it is 1,400-1,500 miles for a round-trip. The drivers must be able to do two round-trips per week (2,800-3,000 miles total). Average $200-250K per year. Bi-Weekly home time. Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay.
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
- Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
- Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
Responsibilities
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Operates tractor trailer units
- Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
- Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
- Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
- Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports
