About The Position

The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, is seeking an Otorhinolaryngologist at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Division of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville is a tertiary referral center that serves the population of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. It is home to the divisions of General Surgery/Surgical Oncology, Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, and Trauma/Acute Care/Critical Care. We are transforming the Division of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery to serve our growing community through multidisciplinary care and collaboration. Our focus is on building subspecialty centers of clinical excellence to meet our vision of being the regions most valued surgical health care asset. The division currently offers thriving practices in Laryngology, Otology, Rhinology, with continued growth in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastics/Reconstruction. Additionally, the division will provide comprehensive general otorhinolaryngology services and currently serves as a key leader of the UF Health Skull Base Center. The Chief will lead the growth of the elective surgical practice throughout the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia region with a focus on high quality academic medical care. Requirements

Candidates must have or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida
MD/DO in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery

Nice To Haves

Board certification and/or eligibility in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery is preferred.
Fellowship training in head and neck surgery, facial plastics/reconstruction, or laryngology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide and maintain a high level of quality outpatient intermediate care services in all aspects of Otorhinolaryngology
Provide clinical teaching of trainees if applicable and participate in the educational program.
Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians and other consulting providers.
Assist in marketing the Otorhinolaryngology programs to community physicians and managed care organizations.
Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
