About The Position

Intel's Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) team plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge manufacturing facilities. As a Module Equipment Technician, you will contribute directly to the efficiency and reliability of Intel's world-class factory systems. The AMHS manages the storage and transportation of wafers and reticles in a cleanroom environment, foundational to Intel's mission to create technologies that connect and enrich lives globally. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop technical expertise, collaborate with global teams, and support the expansion of Intel's facilities to maintain industry leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND 4+ years of related hands on experience OR military technical experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2.5+ years in a related equipment maintenance role. OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3+ year Technical/trade certification OR 3+ years technical experience. OR Associate degree in STEM Related field AND 2+ years of related equipment maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • 2+ years' experience in Dismantle, repair, and assemble equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with robotic systems, including drives, actuators, and microcontrollers.
  • Proficient in typing and computer skills including Microsoft suite applications
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Background in electro-mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
  • Cleanroom operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in manufacturing equipment.
  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and install equipment based on blueprints, layout plans, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, collaborating with suppliers for service and repairs when needed.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to improve reliability and address module-related issues.
  • Create reports documenting equipment failures and update or develop specifications to enhance overall maintenance and performance.
  • Support engineering teams by executing experiments, equipment configuration changes, and data collection activities to meet production goals.
  • Collaborate with module engineering during factory ramps to ensure tool installation and conversion per design requirements.
