About The Position

The OTCHS Equipment Operator conducts the operation of motorized equipment to move loads throughout warehouses. This role ensures compliance with safe work practice policies and procedures, applying functional equipment operations knowledge to maintain performance goals and meet store order needs. The operator will be cross-trained in other functions to support the warehouse operation. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Must be certified on all required equipment needed to complete the job task.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 regularly and up to 75lbs with a team lift.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to process large amounts of data with high levels of accuracy.
  • Must be able to work overtime and the weekends as needed to include high volume periods
  • Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working in a team-base environment.
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
  • 0 to 3 years of prior relevant work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Warehouse Experience
  • Ability to be certified on required Equipment
  • 3 to 5 years of prior relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary safety check of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and record/report problems or defects to Supervisor or Equipment Mechanic.
  • Process item movement from Reserve locations to pick locations, stack cases on pallets uniformly, and place pallet in designated location.
  • Retrieve cases as listed on paper chase picking from pallet systematically, beginning with the top tier until pallet is empty.
  • Note discrepancies encountered while retrieving merchandise; correct whenever possible and if not, call dispatch for another location with proper amount.
  • Retrieve product from Chase locations as directed through RF system.
  • Confirm work has been completed.
  • Notify Supervisor and Maintenance Department immediately if equipment and/or RF unit becomes inoperable or unsafe.
