About The Position

SGS is seeking a part-time Test Engineer to perform Radio Frequency (RF) Over the Air (OTA) Antenna testing on mobile products. This role involves testing technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, IOT, and 5G to ensure that testing services meet client requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans and SGS quality system. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of knowledge of industry test requirements, assist customers and test equipment manufacturers with issues, and be responsible for maintaining and updating test platforms. This position requires conducting testing in accordance with established procedures, maintaining high standards of service delivery, and completing all assigned work within required timeframes. The role also involves actively improving testing services and maintaining a clean and efficient laboratory environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering BSEE, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering BSCE or equivalent degree or similar technical field. AND/OR equivalent combination of education and experience
English/Intermediate required
Basic/Intermediate/Advanced level of knowledge required/preferred for Mathematical Skills
Basic/Intermediate/Advanced level required/preferred for Reasoning Skills/Abilities
Provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred for Computer Skills
List other knowledge/skills or abilities required/preferred for performing the job.

Responsibilities

Perform Radio Frequency (RF) Over the Air (OTA) Antenna testing on mobile products with technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, IOT, and 5G, to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client’s requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans and SGS quality system.
Maintain high degree of knowledge of industry test requirements in order to assist customers and test equipment manufactures with issues.
Responsible for maintaining one or more test platforms, building knowledge on said platforms: updating systems and isolating issues then communicating with test equipment service.
Conduct testing in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relations.
Complete all assigned chargeable work within the required timeframes to ensure customer and project staff satisfaction and efficiency of the business.
Maintaining technical knowledge by learning the requirements of the test plans being asked to execute.
Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfill SGS quality requirements.
Actively improving the testing service provided by SGS.
Maintain the laboratory and personal areas to facilitate efficient operations.
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
