About The Position

Directs and executes Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity initiatives and security operations across industrial environments. This role is responsible for advancing OT security posture through improvement projects, day‑to‑day security operations, and close collaboration with the IT Security Operations Center (SOC), field automation teams, and business stakeholders. The role serves as a key point of coordination between OT environments, Digital Security, and the business to identify, prioritize, and remediate OT security risks at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OT security platforms, including deployment, tuning, and operational support.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS), industrial networking, and common OT protocols.
  • Prior experience leading OT security or infrastructure projects in geographically distributed field environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF, IEC 62443, or similar OT/ICS security frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GICSP, GRID, GCED) or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads OT security improvement projects, including asset visibility, network segmentation, secure remote access, and control system hardening, from identification through remediation and closure.
  • Partners with business owners, Area Automation Managers, and OT engineering teams to understand operational requirements, site constraints, and risk tolerance when designing and executing OT security initiatives.
  • Manages OT security operations activities, including alert monitoring, investigation, and triage, working as an extension of and in coordination with the IT SOC to ensure consistent detection, escalation, and response processes for OT‑related events.
  • Coordinates incident response and risk mitigation activities with business, Digital Security, and field teams to ensure security actions are executed safely and with minimal operational disruption.
  • Owns the deployment, ongoing health, and operational effectiveness of OT security platforms, including coverage, alert fidelity, integrations, and lifecycle management.
  • Identifies OT security gaps and risks, establishes clear remediation plans, and actively stewards issues through to resolution, tracking progress across multiple stakeholders and environments.
  • Serves as a technical and operational leader for OT security, providing guidance to analysts and engineers and contributing to broader security engineering initiatives that intersect with OT environments.
  • Prepares and delivers clear status updates, risk summaries, and executive‑level communications on OT security posture, project progress, and operational issues.
  • Prepares reports and presentations and necessary. Coordinates communication between peers, team, business owners and management.
  • Evaluates status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
  • Coordinates and oversees career development, performance management, pay determination and team communication.
