The Position Overview states that the OT, PT Assistant reports to the Manager and is responsible for carrying out prescribed Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy duties under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist. This is a temporary, full-time contract position for 12 months, supporting the recruitment of an existing vacant position.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant program or equivalent
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relating to rehabilitation
Valid CPR training
Able to function as an integral component of an interdisciplinary team
Able to work under minimal supervision accepting responsibility and accountability as assigned
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including skills in patient teaching
Demonstrated physical fitness to perform the essential duties of the position
Strong work ethic and commitment is required.
Demonstrated high standards of work outputs.
Highly punctual.
Demonstrated professionalism and reliability.
