The OSP-Field Supervisor 3 is responsible for ensuring construction project activities comply with company and permit requirements. Supporting the overall project schedule by providing technical support for construction, including participation in planning, execution, quality control, and completion of the work. The OSP-Field Supervisor 3 is responsible for developing a basic understanding of the business and project context in a way to understand exactly what is being asked by the OSP placing crews. Additionally, they will assist in ensuring project compliance with the Wire 3 established Project Management Methodology (PMM) and uphold Wire 3 safety and quality management protocols. Also, will provide mentoring/training to other OSP Field Supervisors.

Requirements

  • Excellent time management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • College Degree or Technical Certification preferred
  • Previous experience managing projects for OSP required
  • Previous oversite of contractors required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary liaison between Regional Manager, Construction Manager and the QA/QC Tech’s
  • Contribute to the management of overall project performance
  • Under guidance, assists in identifying potential stakeholder conflicts and facilitating resolution
  • Communicate project risks to the Regional Manager as they arise and assist in development of appropriate risk mitigation steps
  • Assists in implementing project/program plans as assigned
  • Assist and guide QA/QC Techs on areas of completion and inspection ready segments of construction
  • Effectively communicate within assigned project population
  • Responsible for safe work practices and implementing company safety programs for all internal and subcontractor crews throughout his/her area of responsibility.
  • Works with local governing agencies, subcontractors to meet or exceed production goals as established in the fiscal year business plan.
  • Supports the Utility Coordinator on the utility locate process to ensure a continuous workflow and mitigate downtime for OSP placing crews on their respective areas of work.
  • Provides documentation, reports, and information to Regional Management as directed.
  • Care of the equipment fleet under their direction and coordinates maintenance.
  • Manages and controls the use and application of tools utilized during the construction process.
  • Utilizes the established company tracking methods and systems to report crew productivity for reporting weekly job progress on the work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
