About The Position

SRI Telecom is in search of an OSP Construction Specialist with relevant project coordination experience to contribute to various cross-functional project teams. The day-to-day tasks will vary greatly and will include completing audits in single or multiple locations. Tasks will often include completing audits and inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, and enclosures, as well as completing computer and Smartsheet work each day. This role is an autonomous role as the team you work with will be spread out over multiple locations both field and office. It is 80% field and 20% office.

Requirements

Telecommunications OSP Construction experience in BOTH fiber optic cable and coaxial cable
Experience with BOTH coax and fiber is a must
Coax experience (Amplifiers, Taps, main line cable)
Fiber experience
Must be willing to travel as needed
Project management skills
Basic computer skills
Strong cross-functional team coordination skills
Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Self-starter capable of working independently after proper training
Ability to learn and navigate proprietary software

Nice To Haves

Hybrid fiber to coax-HFC- experience is preferred
Outside Plant Experience is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

Completing audits in single or multiple locations
Completing inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, and enclosures
Completing computer and Smartsheet work each day
Managing and tracking milestones
Creating jobs in JT/Polaris
Handling exceptions to the life cycle SLA
Coordinating with teams and stakeholders
Acting as a point of contact for cross functional groups including BOC, CPM, FPM, permit coordinators, specialists, and sales
Reporting to management regularly
Managing materials and reconciliation
Managing quality control workflow
Managing job estimates
Managing project funding
Managing QC checklists (materials, invoice, pictures, footages)
