About The Position

Fiber Network Services is seeking an experienced in-house Construction Coordinator to work with its Stephens City/Winchester, Virginia team. The coordinator will oversee a variety of HFC and broadband projects, including BAU, spans, relocations, node splits, new builds, Fiber to the Home, and Passive Optical Network overlays. The role includes field construction oversight, project planning and lifecycle management, quality control, contractor coordination, permitting follow-up, reporting, and client invoicing.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in HFC or similar outside network plant construction.
Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors.
Customer service ability to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs.
Ability to organize and prioritize projects.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reports to stakeholders and management.
Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally to meet project demands.
Ability to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-construction walkouts.
Verify as-builts.
Troubleshoot build-out issues in the field.
Identify safe working conditions in an outside right-of-way environment.
Identify permitting requirements as needed.
Create bills of materials (BOMs).
Compile notice-to-proceed (NTP) packages for contractors.
Scope, plan, and execute HFC projects with contractors; track and manage project lifecycles, pay contractors, and submit final client invoicing.
Perform quality control of project work.
Provide weekly reports to management on construction activity.
Follow up with city municipalities regarding permitting issues.
