About The Position

The Open-Source Intelligence and Digital Reconnaissance Analyst serves as an integral member of a multi-functional intelligence fusion team supporting Naval Special Warfare Group EIGHT and the Mission Support Center. The analyst researches, acquires, processes, analyzes, and fuses publicly available information and intelligence data to produce actionable intelligence in support of Naval Special Warfare operations, planning, and decision-making. The position supports operational planning, responses to Requests for Information, development of intelligence products, process improvement initiatives, and intelligence training activities. Analysts are expected to operate independently or within collaborative teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional analytical rigor, operational security, and mission focus.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working as an Open-Source Intelligence and/or Digital Reconnaissance Analyst.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and gather information.
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble and analyze facts.
  • Demonstrated ability to draw conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to intelligence and information technology-related problems involving publicly available information collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of intelligence data types, formats, structures, databases, and intelligence datasets.
  • Basic knowledge of data management, including extracting, transforming, loading, and converting data formats.
  • Experience supporting multiple intelligence disciplines, including: Human Intelligence, Imagery Intelligence, Geospatial Intelligence, Signals Intelligence, Open-Source Intelligence.
  • TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Three years of recent Special Operations Forces support experience.
  • Advanced data management experience.
  • Activity-Based Intelligence experience.
  • Subsea and Seabed Warfare experience.
  • Anti-Submarine Warfare experience.
  • U.S. citizen.
  • Professional conduct IAW DoD, Navy, USSOCOM regulations.
  • Ability to comply with OPSEC, CUI, IT, and security policies.
  • Capable of mentoring and training government personnel.
  • Grammar-perfect, professional written work products.
  • Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and intelligence databases daily.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work extended hours during surge operations.

Responsibilities

  • Research, acquire, process, analyze, and fuse data to generate actionable intelligence.
  • Produce intelligence products supporting Requests for Information.
  • Support operational planning across the spectrum of Special Operations Forces activities.
  • Assist in development of Operational Plans, Concept Plans, and Concepts of Operations.
  • Conduct intelligence gap analysis and identify capability shortfalls.
  • Develop tailored intelligence products and assessments.
  • Collaborate with intelligence community partners.
  • Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures and analytical processes.
  • Assist in development of requirements for new analytical capabilities.
  • Develop, review, edit, and deliver intelligence training materials.
  • Support qualification and training programs for intelligence personnel.
  • Support Subsea and Seabed Warfare and Anti-Submarine Warfare initiatives when required.
  • Generate written and graphical intelligence products.
