About The Position

We are seeking a full-time OSINT Director (REMOTE) to lead and shape the future of Ethos' Open-Source Intelligence function. This highly visible role blends strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client-facing expertise, with responsibility for driving the growth, quality, performance, and scalability of our OSINT services. As a player-coach, the OSINT Director will lead a team of intelligence professionals while staying hands-on with complex investigations, client strategy, and service innovation. Our ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on OSINT leader who can develop high-performing teams, solve complex intelligence challenges, build trusted client relationships, and leverage emerging technology to create smarter, scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Business, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in OSINT, intelligence, investigations, risk management, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of leadership experience managing teams, operations, or client-facing services (required).
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex intelligence or investigative programs (required).
  • Advanced knowledge of OSINT methodologies, tools, and investigative techniques.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with KPIs, budgets, resource planning, forensic investigations, and operational performance.
  • Strong client relationship and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Understanding technology, automation, AI, and data governance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting fraud investigations, due diligence, litigation support, asset tracing, compliance reviews, forensics, or other corporate investigative matters is (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop OSINT leaders and analysts while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee OSINT operations to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality client deliverables while maintaining effective workflows and performance standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on support for complex, sensitive, or escalated intelligence matters.
  • Partner with clients, Sales, and leadership to support strategic discussions, new business opportunities, client retention, and service expansion.
  • Maintain quality standards, investigative best practices, training programs, and consistent reporting methodologies.
  • Evaluate and implement OSINT tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve capabilities and efficiency while maintaining human oversight.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, vendors, resources, and KPIs to support productivity, profitability, and service quality.
  • Develop and execute strategies to scale OSINT operations, strengthen capabilities, and support long-term growth.
