About The Position

Aperio Global is seeking experienced Mid-Career to Senior Open-Source Analysts to join their mission-focused team supporting critical national security requirements in Washington, DC. This role is for intelligence professionals who can move beyond simply finding information. The ideal candidate will discover, assess, connect, and interpret publicly available information (PAI) to help illuminate complex problems, identify emerging developments, and deliver intelligence that supports real-world missions. This position is on-site in Washington, DC and requires an Active and Current TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience using Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools and methodologies
  • Experience working with complex problem sets such as cryptocurrency and virtual assets
  • Professional experience related to OSINT research, collection management, intelligence analysis, PAI exploitation, or social media exploitation
  • Experience accessing, researching, and exploiting global and regional social media and digital platforms
  • Experience conducting open-source research, all-source intelligence analysis, or targeting
  • Knowledge of advanced Internet-based research techniques, including Boolean logic, advanced search techniques, search engines, specialized databases, social media, social networking tools, and commercial or industry databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform under high stress and short suspense
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (vaccinations may be required)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain national security issues and emerging developments that are regional or functional in nature.
  • Provide all-source and open-source analytic support to intelligence collection, operations, investigations, targeting, and other defense intelligence requirements.
  • Research and exploit publicly available information, social media, digital platforms, commercial databases, and other Internet-based sources.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies to complex intelligence problems.
  • Remain current on developments in academia, technology, and other disciplines that can enhance intelligence tradecraft and analytic methodology.
  • Review analytic products for logical arguments, intelligence tradecraft standards, sourcing, and adequate support for conclusions.
  • Challenge assumptions and test the analytic rigor of intelligence products.
  • Apply advanced Internet research techniques, including Boolean logic, advanced search methodologies, database exploitation, social networking tools, and commercial or industry-specific resources.
  • Support complex problem sets, including areas such as cryptocurrency, virtual assets, digital ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
