About The Position

The OSINT / Digital Reconnaissance Analyst supports intelligence research, data collection, analysis, and fusion activities in support of operational and mission planning requirements. The analyst works as part of a multi-functional analytical team and uses a variety of tools, databases, and research methods to develop timely, accurate, and mission-focused intelligence products. The analyst will support open-source intelligence research, publicly available information collection, digital reconnaissance, data processing, intelligence fusion, process improvement, and training support. This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

  • Active adjudicated Top Secret clearance with ability to access Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as an OSINT / Digital Reconnaissance Analyst.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, gather data, assemble and analyze facts, draw conclusions, and develop solutions to intelligence or IT-related problems involving publicly available information collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of intelligence data types, formats, structures, databases, and data sets.
  • Experience working with multiple intelligence disciplines, including HUMINT, IMINT, GEOINT, SIGINT, and OSINT.
  • Basic knowledge of data management, including extracting, transforming, loading, structuring, and converting data from various formats.
  • Strong ability to research, gather, process, assemble, analyze, and fuse OSINT information with other intelligence information and databases.
  • Current knowledge of commercial and government OSINT/DR tools and research methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet strict timelines.
  • Experience using tools, data, and advanced technologies to improve analytical processes and resolve inefficiencies.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and adapt to new data, tools, problems, and mission requirements.
  • Experience supporting evaluations of new or improved analytical capabilities, including predictive analysis, data mining, data correlation/display, data fusion, and processing algorithms.
  • Working knowledge of basic counterintelligence and Operational Security procedures used by the DoD, Intelligence Community, or similar mission environments.
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in performing administrative and routine functions.
  • Ability to write clear and complete correspondence in military format when required.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible or alternate hours as needed to support mission requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of recent experience, within 1 year of proposal submission, working with or supporting Special Operations Forces.
  • Advanced data management experience, including extracting, transforming, loading, structuring, and converting data from various formats.
  • Experience with Activity-Based Intelligence data or analytical concepts.
  • Experience supporting specialized maritime, undersea, or advanced threat analysis.
  • Experience developing or refining tactics, techniques, procedures, concepts of operations, operating considerations, capability plans, or analytical products related to emerging threats, adversary capabilities, or advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct OSINT and digital reconnaissance research using publicly available information, authorized data sources, databases, and analytical tools.
  • Research, acquire, process, analyze, and fuse data to develop usable intelligence and mission support products.
  • Prepare tailored intelligence products, assessments, reports, and responses to information requirements.
  • Support operational planning by developing analytical inputs, tactical recommendations, feasibility products, planning materials, and other mission support documentation.
  • Assist with the development of operational plans, concept plans, concepts of operations, and related planning products.
  • Use data mining tools, analytical databases, network and link-analysis tools, social media exploitation tools, browsers, data collection tools, and other approved research platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging OSINT and digital reconnaissance tools, technologies, systems, methods, and best practices.
  • Fuse OSINT findings with other intelligence information, databases, and data sets to support all-source analysis.
  • Work with information from multiple intelligence disciplines, including HUMINT, IMINT, GEOINT, SIGINT, and OSINT.
  • Review and assess SOPs, technical procedures, best practices, hardware and software tools, data sources, and repositories for effectiveness and relevance.
  • Recommend improvements to analytical processes, workflows, tools, procedures, and data management practices.
  • Assist in drafting requirements for new or improved capabilities, tools, technologies, or processes.
  • Develop, review, edit, or update OSINT/DR training materials and modules as directed.
  • Provide training, guidance, or mentorship to junior analysts when required.
  • Recommend analyst qualification standards and support professional development of analytical personnel.
  • Support evaluations of new or improved analytical capabilities involving predictive analysis, data mining, data correlation, data display, data fusion, or processing algorithms.
  • Acquire, create, and leverage tools, data, resources, and technology to overcome process barriers and improve analytical effectiveness.
  • Provide innovative solutions that improve problem-solving, analytical capability, and organizational impact.
  • Support research and analysis related to specialized mission areas, emerging threats, adversary capabilities, advanced technologies, tactics, techniques, procedures, and operational considerations.
  • Develop written and graphical analytical products for tactical, operational, or strategic use.
  • Apply basic counterintelligence and Operational Security procedures in accordance with DoD, Intelligence Community, and organizational requirements.
  • Prepare clear and complete written correspondence, including military-format correspondence when required.
  • Perform administrative, reporting, and routine support tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
