Requirements

Must have previous orthopedics surgery experience
Master’s degree in nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment OR Possession of a Bachelor’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association approved physician associate program
Unrestricted licensure in the state of Oregon, or able to obtain
Current OR DEA certificate required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

Minimum 2-3 years orthopedics surgery experience preferred
Commitment to evidence-based practice

Responsibilities

Clinic and surgical assist work
Assisting the orthopedic surgeons in the clinic setting
Conducting new and existing patient orthopedic examinations
Developing treatment plans, adjusting and prescribing medications
Performing in-clinic procedures, conducting pre-operative assessments
Explaining the surgical procedure to the patient
Assisting the orthopedic surgeon in the OR and conducting hospital rounds as needed
