About The Position

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is seeking an Orthopedic Tech for their West Region in Tampa, FL. This is a Full Time position, working Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Orthopedic Tech will assemble and apply different types of casts and various braces according to physician orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• None.

Responsibilities

• Assists with transport of patients.
• Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Assists the orthopedic surgeons requested.
• Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned.
• Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service.
