About The Position
Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking an Orthopedic Tech to join their Orthopedics department. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves assembling and applying different types of casts and various braces according to physician orders. The position will travel to Brandon, Tampa, Wesley Chapel & Zephyhills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- None.
Responsibilities
- Assists with transport of patients.
- Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Assists the orthopedic surgeons requested.
- Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned.
- Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service.
