About The Position

This is a locum position for an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to work exclusively in an outpatient clinic. The engagement is for an initial 6-month period with the possibility of extension. The PA will manage a diverse orthopedic patient population, including total joint cases, and will be responsible for initial consultations, treatment of fractures, post-operative follow-ups, and administering injections. The position does not involve on-call duties and anticipates a daily caseload of 19-21 patients. The clinic utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Board Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as recognized by the American Hospital Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as recognized by the American Hospital Association
• Active California medical license

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse orthopedic patient population, including total joint cases.
• Conduct initial consultations for new patients.
