About The Position

Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor to provide on-site specialist services. This role is designed to complement an existing practice, involving approximately 4-hour shifts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The surgeon will manage medically complex patients, facilitate return to work, and provide non-surgical and surgical treatments for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Collaboration with medical and therapy providers, communication with employers, and active participation in case management are key aspects of this role. The treatments provided will significantly impact patients' lives.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries

Responsibilities
