Seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage at a Level III Trauma Center in Pueblo, CO. This is a call-only position, requiring a 24-hour call schedule with a 30-minute response time. The role involves providing on-call coverage, performing general orthopedic surgical procedures, and managing admissions ranging from 2-5 per day. Coverage periods include specific dates in November and December 2026, with ongoing sporadic dates thereafter. The position requires active hospital privileges, completion of credentialing and EMR training prior to the start date.
Requirements
- Board Certified
- Active CO license or IMLC
- Active DEA
- ACLS
- BLS
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: 30 days
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call coverage for orthopedic surgery at Level III Trauma Center within 30-minute response time.
- Perform general orthopedic surgical procedures as per scope of care.
- Manage admissions (2-5 per day) during call shifts.
- Cover specified date ranges and sporadic ongoing dates as scheduled.
- Complete credentialing and EMR training requirements prior to start.
