About The Position

Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to work as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement an existing private practice, involving approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis at a Concentra location. The role focuses on assisting in the management of medically complex patients, facilitating their return to work, and functional restoration. The surgeon will collaborate with medical and therapy providers to offer both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, the role requires communication with employers and active participation in case management, aiming to significantly improve the lives of patients.

Requirements

• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis

• Communicate with employers and take an active role in the case management
