About The Position

Growing healthcare system is seeking an Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon in Statesville, NC (40 mins from Charlotte!). This prominent healthcare organization, anchored by a 247-bed hospital, is a longstanding 501c3 organization deeply rooted in the community for 70 years. This opportunity would allow you to live in the gorgeous, highly sought after Lake Norman area, with over 500 miles of shoreline. The network boasts 27 practices, comprised of 12 primary care clinics, 10 specialty groups, 3 ambulatory surgery centers and 2 urgent cares. Our Healthcare System has over 1,600 full/part/PRN staff members and over 175 licensed providers. The role involves a blend of clinic and OR days, with shared call responsibilities among the orthopedic team. The EMR system used is Cerner.

Requirements

• NC Medical License and DEA, eligible
• Must be BE/BC
• Requires current BLS Certification
• No board sanctions or actions in last 10 years
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
• Ability to serve without prejudice or judgement regardless of lifestyle, race, economic status, age, or religious affiliation of patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate on the Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder, etc.
• Blend of clinic and OR days.
• Share call responsibilities with the team.
