About The Position

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is seeking a specialist in Orthopedic Spine Surgery to join their team at the Tyson’s Corner and Capitol Hill Medical Center. MAPMG is a physician-led group of over 1,800 physicians serving Kaiser Permanente patients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. They emphasize a physician-led structure with competitive salaries, focusing on long-term health, prevention, and effective treatment of diseases. MAPMG utilizes a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) and supports research and innovation to ensure quality care and advance best practices. The role involves working with a team of surgeons, physician assistants, and collaborating with regional physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain management departments. The surgical focus will be in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) and inpatient settings.

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Successful completion of Spine Surgery Fellowship
Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia

Responsibilities

Perform orthopedic spine surgeries.
Collaborate with physician assistants, physical medicine and rehabilitation departments, and pain management specialists.
Utilize an electronic health record (EHR) for patient management.
Focus on providing excellent patient care without managing overhead and billing.
Practice patient-centered, culturally competent medical care.
