About The Position
The Orthopedic Surgery Service at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, proudly joining Northwell, is seeking to add a board-certified per diem Physician Assistant to join its team. The position will be primarily inpatient with possible coverage in the outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include OR coverage as well as management of admissions, consults, floor rounds, post-op management and discharge of patients. There is an extensive onboarding and training period as well as a supportive environment for collaboration and learning.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certified
- Strong surgical and patient management experience
- At least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred
- New graduates will be considered
- New nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience will be considered
