Please contact Carla Voss with questions: [email protected] #LI-CV1 Position Summary The orthopedic clinic APP is a key provider within the ambulatory orthopedic team, focusing on comprehensive musculoskeletal care in the outpatient setting. They collaborate closely with patients, family members, and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic conditions, ensuring optimal recovery and mobility. This position specializes in assessing and managing orthopedic injuries and conditions, providing non-surgical treatment options, and overseeing rehabilitation strategies. The clinic APP will perform joint injections, arthrocentesis, diagnostic imaging reviews, and minor outpatient procedures while educating patients on injury prevention and long-term musculoskeletal health. Additionally, they contribute to evidence-based orthopedic care, optimizing treatment protocols and supporting continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries
  • Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Joint injections, arthrocentesis, and other minor outpatient procedures
  • Interpretation of diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans)
  • Postoperative care management, including wound assessment, pain control, and rehabilitation guidance
  • Patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and orthopedic health
  • Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to hospital policies and regulations
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Participate in clinic-based call rotation as needed
