About The Position
Olympic Medical Physicians’ Orthopaedic clinics in Port Angeles and Sequim, Washington, are hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a collegial team. The Advanced Practice Clinician role combines outpatient clinic work, emergency room consultation, and operating room assistance. In collaboration with Orthopaedic Surgeons and Podiatric Physicians, the clinician provides specialty outpatient orthopaedic and sports medicine consultations and follow-up care in clinic and operating room settings. Orthopaedic APCs rotate a week of call with the other OMP Orthopaedic APCs.
Requirements
- Graduate of a physician assistant program and certified by Washington State, or hold a Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Nursing, or equivalent Nurse Practitioner degree.
- Maintain appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
- Current Washington State RN licensure and ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in Washington State, or current Washington State PA-C licensure and prescriptive authority.
- Maintain current DEA registration.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Maintain appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of prior orthopaedic experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialty outpatient orthopaedic and sports medicine consultations and follow-up care in clinic and operating room settings, in collaboration with Orthopaedic Surgeons and Podiatric Physicians.
- Provide emergency room consultation.
- Assist in the operating room.
- Participate in a rotating week of call with other OMP Orthopaedic APCs.
