About The Position

Dartmouth Health Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant/Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join its Orthopedics Department in Keene, New Hampshire. The APP will participate in all aspects of orthopedic patient care in a fast-paced, collegial setting. The position includes outpatient clinic work, inpatient rounding, and operating room time, with collaboration among orthopedic surgeons, APPs, athletic trainers, and trained flow staff. Flow staff assist with patient flow, history-taking, education, and other services to support efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. The flexible work week includes 36 hours of clinic time and 4 hours of administrative time per week. The role includes weekday and weekend call at a 1:8 rotation when fully staffed. Cheshire Medical Center is part of the Dartmouth Health system and serves communities throughout the Monadnock Region. The center provides primary care, inpatient services, and a broad range of specialties while emphasizing compassionate, patient-centered care. It has a four-star CMS quality rating, is an ACS Surgical Quality Partner, and holds The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.

Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Physician Assistant or APRN license in New Hampshire.
CPR certification.
ACLS certification; this may be obtained within the first year of employment.
National specialty certification as an RNFA or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of orthopedic patient care.
Provide care across outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and operating room settings.
Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, APPs, athletic trainers, and flow staff.
Participate in weekday and weekend call on a 1:8 rotation at full staff.
