About The Position

The Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is dedicated to serving patients with a wide range of orthopedic needs, from athletes with sports injuries to retirees requiring joint replacements. Our expert team comprises orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health specialists, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. We offer comprehensive treatment for sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee, and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center operates Monday through Friday to accommodate patient needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in a clinical or physician office setting, emergency room, and/or a hospital setting that provides direct patient care with preference given to orthopedic clinic experience.
  • Excellent communication skills including phone calls, referrrals and electronic records are also required.
  • CNA or RMA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Screens patient and obtains pertinent information.
  • Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs.
  • Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
  • Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
  • Proper communication with appropriate clinic departments.
  • Satellite Clinic Operations
  • Clinic Preparation
  • Provides support to the clinic as needed.
