About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for working as a clinic RN and maintaining clinic flow for patients and providers. It provides nursing coverage in the clinic by assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures performed in a clinic setting, under the provider’s direction and within the scope of the professional license. The role is also responsible for patient medical records and documentation, collecting and preparing specimens, and administering medications as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN program or be an LPN.
Hold a current license in the state of Iowa.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification; new employees must certify within three months after hire.
Demonstrate superior nursing process skills and a patient-service focus.
Be organized, able to set priorities, and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
Work well as a team member.
Have, or quickly develop, the ability to think, converse, and type simultaneously.
Have excellent telephone communication and customer-focused interpersonal relationship skills.
Have basic PC skills and comfort with Windows operating systems.
Have a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, fun-seeking personality.

Nice To Haves

Three years of clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
