About The Position

Join a team dedicated to excellence in orthopaedic care. The full-time Orthopaedic Technician supports physicians and clinical staff while helping deliver exceptional patient care at the St. Petersburg office of a respected orthopaedic group. The role includes assisting providers, rooming patients, applying and removing casts and splints, and supporting clinical and operational workflows.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

Orthopaedic casting experience.
Certified Orthopaedic Technician (OTC) certification.

Responsibilities

Apply and remove orthopedic devices, including casts, splints, and braces.
Assist physicians, ARNPs, and PAs with examinations and minor procedures.
Room patients, check schedules, and organize patient flow.
Provide patient education related to orthopedic care and equipment.
Accompany and assist patients with mobility, transfers, and dressing as needed.
Chart and document care accurately and thoroughly.
Answer patient calls and relay pertinent clinical information.
Clean and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and orthopedic equipment to meet infection control standards.
Prepare and stock rooms for procedures and visits.
Order, sort, and organize medical and orthopedic supplies.
Follow scheduled maintenance procedures for clinical equipment.
Promote and protect patient rights and confidentiality.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and safety codes.
Communicate patient-care or workflow issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture.
