About The Position

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to join in the University Medical Line (UML) or Clinician Educator (CE) Line as an orthopaedic pediatric surgeon. We are particularly interested in candidates who have interests in foot/ankle, hip deformity and preservation, and sports. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. An interest in academic settings, with roles in education of residents, fellows, along with support for our pediatric orthopedic research program will be important criteria for candidate qualifications.
