Orthodontist Assistant (PT)
About The Position
Elmhurst Dental Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Orthodontist Assistant to join our team! As an Orthodontist Assistant, you will work closely with our Orthodontists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients as well as perform light administrative duties. This position will require approximately 16 hours per month. Our Orthodontist sees patients one Friday and one Saturday a month, making this a great opportunity for someone seeking a few extra hours of chairside assisting each month. Candidates who are multi-specialty and cross-trained will be given preference. If you have a positive attitude, and love dentistry and enjoy working with fun professionals, we would consider you to join our Elmhurst Dental family! There is definite potential for more days with other specialists, so let us know if you have any other assisting experience outside of ortho (endo, oral surgery, perio, etc...)
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients
- Integrity-focused work ethic
- Team-player attitude
- Ability to multi-task
- Open-minded to new systems/techniques, direction and feedback

Nice To Haves
- X-Ray certification in state of Illinois
- Coronal Polish/Sealant Certification
Responsibilities
- Chairside dental assisting with a wide range of general dentistry procedures
- Sterilization protocols to OSHA regulations
- Computer efficiency- charting and scheduling
