About The Position
Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as an Orthodontics Dental Assistant with Great Expressions Dental Centers! We’re looking for a motivated and energetic team member who is ready to make a positive impact on our patients while working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Position Schedule: Monday & Tuesday: Pediatric Dental Assistant, Wednesday & Thursday: Orthodontic Dental Assistant.
Requirements
- Orthodontic Dental Assistant experience is required.
- Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
- Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
- Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
- Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
- Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
- New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
- New York: Not applicable.
- Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
- Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric Dental Assistant experience is preferred but not required - we are happy to provide training.
Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
