Requirements

Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment
Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care

2+ years of orthodontic experience

Responsibilities

Handle all bracket adjustments
Prep and finish all bonds after doctor places brackets and other appliances
Handle all aligners along with other procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic procedures.
Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures.
Take digital radiographs, photographs, and intraoral scans as needed.
Change archwires, ligatures, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.
Provide patients and families with oral hygiene instructions and appliance care education.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
Accurately document patient treatment and update electronic health records.
Manage inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and organized.
Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience.
