About The Position

Gentle Dental is hiring a part-time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support multiple offices throughout the Las Vegas market. The primary location is Gentle Dental Charleston in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel between locations. The assistant supports the orthodontist during treatment, prepares rooms and instruments, obtains diagnostic records as permitted by state regulations, provides patient care and education, maintains records, follows safety and infection-control standards, and collaborates with the care team to support efficient office operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification.
• X-Ray Certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care.
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Create a welcoming and professional environment to support a positive patient experience.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations.
