Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months dental experience
- Experience taking dental X-rays
- Understanding of dental terminology and procedures
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- Orthodontic experience
- State-required dental assistant licensure (if applicable)
- Experience with digital scanning technology
- Proficiency in dental software systems
Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization procedures according to OSHA and clinical guidelines
- Prepare accurate and organized tray setups for procedures
- Obtain diagnostic records including X-rays, intraoral scans, photographs, and impressions
- Provide chairside assistance under supervision of the treating doctor
- Enter clear, accurate clinical notes in patient charts
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Perform basic lab duties including fabrication of Essix retainers
- Prepare and document lab cases to ensure timely turnaround
- Maintain operatory readiness and cleanliness at all times
