About The Position

McMillian Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Clinician II to deliver a positive clinical experience to patients while following company policies and applicable state dental laws, rules, and regulations under the direction and supervision of an Orthodontist. The role supports orthodontic procedures and patient flow, performs laboratory and remote-monitoring tasks, educates patients, and helps maintain a clean, safe clinical environment. The clinician may also assist with local marketing and community events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of previous orthodontic experience or six months of experience as a Smile Doctor’s Orthodontic Clinician I.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by the state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by the state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by the state Dental Board.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to set priorities regarding patient care, manage full schedules, and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances and taking full records under the supervision of an Orthodontist.
• Perform accurate and efficient procedures to maintain the schedule and patient flow.
• Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data, and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under the supervision of an Orthodontist.
• Assist the Point with final patient checks and leading patient flow.
• Administer the remote monitoring dashboard, including reviewing and triaging patient scans, responding to direct patient messages, and triaging notifications.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and the operatory according to standard protocols.
• Assist in Local Store Marketing and community events.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
