At Westrock Orthodontics, we’re passionate about transforming lives through confident, lifelong smiles. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you'll help support our Lee's Summit, MO and Raymore, MO locations. Working under the direct supervision of our licensed Orthodontists, you will play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional clinical care, keeping daily workflows efficient, and creating outstanding patient experiences every step of the way.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting is required.
- Deep familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures, and clinical appliances.
- A motivated team player with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
- Guide patients through their treatment plans, instruct them on proper oral hygiene and appliance care, and keep them comfortable throughout their visits.
- Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, perform digital scans, assist in fabricating customized appliances/retainers, and maintain accurate treatment notes.
