About The Position

Spark Orthodontics is seeking a passionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our close-knit team in providing top-notch dental care to our patients. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the best quality orthodontic care possible. We are looking for a candidate who is energetic, positive, and upbeat, has a willingness to learn, and communicates well with others. Experience is a big plus, but we are also willing to train the right person if you have no experience. We want you to bring your passion, skills, and drive to help patients achieve beautiful smiles while creating “wow” experiences at every visit!

Requirements

Warm, friendly, courteous, and enjoys working with children
Punctual, responsible, and a fast learner
Ability to multitask is critical
Be receptive to training and coaching on best practices

Nice To Haves

Previous orthodontics experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and deliver excellent customer service to patients
Coordinate patient care and treatment according to the doctor and other team members
Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing materials, and providing chairside support
Ensure a clean and sterile environment by following proper infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Properly sterilizes instruments on a regular basis
Assists doctor with cementation of bands and bracket placement
Properly take the correct x-rays when needed on each patient
