Nice To Haves

No dental experience necessary, we offer extensive training for this position
Will provide training for new graduates and/or candidates moving from another dental office setting with limited orthodontic experience

Responsibilities

Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients
Educate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices
Work chairside with patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances
Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
Keep units stocked and organized as well as clean and sterilized
Greet and seat patients
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment
Take digital photos and x-rays
Take impressions for retainers, study models and appliances
Take intraoral scans for Invisalign, retainers and appliances
Prepare teeth for bonding and assist Doctor
Communicate instructions to patients and parents
Encourage, educate, and motivate patients to follow doctor’s recommendations
Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors and lead to better develop skillset
Maintenance of sterilization area, solutions, and equipment
OSHA management
Follow the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC, and local standards
Other duties as required
