About The Position
Webster Dental Care of Berwyn is seeking a part-time experienced Orthodontic Assistant for a busy Orthodontist who practices at their facility on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. The hours are from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm on these two days. There may be occasional changes to the scheduled Tuesdays, with ample notice provided. There is also an opportunity for additional hours at other Webster Dental locations if the candidate is willing to travel.
Requirements
- Must have experience assisting in orthodontia
- Knowledge of general and orthodontic dental terminology
- Familiarization of traditional braces, Invisalign, types of retainers, and what's needed when taking records
Nice To Haves
- Spanish speaking
- Polishing certified
- Uploading records to the Invisalign Doctor site
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a kind demeanor and seat them
- Navigate Eaglesoft software
- Adhere to infection control, OSHA standards, and sterilization protocols
- Be punctual and reliable
- Size, remove, and replace arch wires
- Take traditional and digital impressions & photos
- Set up a room accordingly for a bonding or appliance placement
- Answer questions and speak with parents
- Place and remove separators
- Fit bands
