About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist provider during office visit or surgery Entering medical data in EHR Maintain clinical area clean and organized Manage medical supplies DUTIES: Greet patients with a smile Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR Perform data entry Provide patient care as instructed by the provider Assist the providers with procedures Removal of sutures and/or stitches Apply/remove casts, braces and splints Stocking and cleaning the exam rooms Attend all meetings and trainings as required Perform all other duties as assigned by Office Manager Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR Complete orders and forms Perform data entry Scheduling appointments QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s Degree in healthcare Bachelor’s Degree preferred Orthopedic Tech Certification Required Experience: 2+ years of office experience Medical office experience preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Outgoing personality Compassionate nature Strong communication skills Above average critical thinking skills Customer service experience to exceed expectations Experience with basic computer programs including EMR systems Basic knowledge and understanding of Insurance Knowledge of outpatient services, specialty pharmacies and medical supply companies Current CPR/BLS card PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires prolonged sitting, frequent mobility, and some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity sufficient for and proficiency in the use of office machines such as telephone, computers, copier/fax machine, and other equipment as necessary. Require vision and hearing within a normal range. Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
