About The Position

The Ortho Tech will assist the provider during office visits or surgeries, enter medical data into the EHR, maintain a clean and organized clinical area, and manage medical supplies. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $27.00 - $33.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in healthcare
• Orthopedic Tech Certification Required
• 2+ years of office experience
• Experience with basic computer programs including EMR systems
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Insurance
• Current CPR/BLS card
• Requires prolonged sitting, frequent mobility, and some bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Requires manual dexterity sufficient for and proficiency in the use of office machines such as telephone, computers, copier/fax machine, and other equipment as necessary.
• Require vision and hearing within a normal range.
• Lifting of up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Medical office experience preferred
• Knowledge of outpatient services, specialty pharmacies and medical supply companies

Responsibilities

• Assist provider during office visit or surgery
• Entering medical data in EHR
• Maintain clinical area clean and organized
• Manage medical supplies
• Greet patients with a smile
• Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms
• Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR
• Perform data entry
• Provide patient care as instructed by the provider
• Assist the providers with procedures
• Removal of sutures and/or stitches
• Apply/remove casts, braces and splints
• Stocking and cleaning the exam rooms
• Attend all meetings and trainings as required
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Office Manager
• Complete orders and forms
• Scheduling appointments
