About The Position

The Ortho Registered Dental Assistant assists with the delivery of orthodontic care and is an integral member of the patient care team. The role focuses on providing a memorable and enjoyable service experience for every patient, every day, in every office. The position reports to the Patient Care Leader and is classified as non-exempt. Travel to other office locations is required.

Requirements

At least 1–2 years of recent orthodontic experience.
Current and active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
Upbeat personality.
Enjoy working with children.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Clean, neat, professional appearance.
Ability to travel to other office locations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the treatment area for patients according to procedures and protocols.
Welcome, comfort, and seat patients in preparation for dental treatment.
Assist the doctor with bonding and debonding patients.
Perform orthodontic adjustments.
Perform and store orthodontic records in accordance with company policy.
Perform dental infection-control procedures.
Take X-rays.
Perform lab-related procedures.
Hand off patients at check-out.
Complete care calls and thank-you cards.
Assist with managing and controlling supply inventory.
Document dental care services in patient records.
Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
