About The Position

The Ortho Nurse Navigator is responsible for upholding excellence in the provision of nursing clinical care through implementation of evidence-based standards of care. The Ortho Nurse Navigator possesses broad nursing knowledge and clinical expertise in a specialty area. The Ortho Nurse Navigator has oversight of the daily operations of the orthopedic program, acts as a clinical resource throughout the continuum of care, maintains weekly performance tracking and communication to the Orthopedic Program Supervisor and interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Identifies and implements best practices for operations and sharing of knowledge to enhance service and quality of the organization. Develops appropriate education and communication plans with the orthopedic interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and meet program initiatives. Partners with our physicians directly involved in our orthopedic program to improve efficiency, meet program requirements and improve outcomes. Facilitates problem resolution, process improvement and communication flow.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (required)
  • Florida Registered Nurse License (required)
  • BLS certification
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
