About The Position

OrthoVirginia, Virginia's largest provider of musculoskeletal care, is seeking fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible orthopedic Hand Surgeons for its practice in Richmond, VA. OrthoVirginia is the premier orthopedic practice in the state, offering a comprehensive range of services including physiatry, general orthopedics, joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot & ankle surgery, rheumatology, sports medicine-trained primary care physicians, and physical and occupational therapy. The practice also features MRI, injection suites, after-hours clinics, surgery centers, and expanded therapy services. The successful candidate will collaborate with specialists in general orthopedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. This private practice/partnership track opportunity offers a direct path to becoming a shareholding physician and potential participation in ancillary revenues. Candidates should be prepared for general orthopedic call.

Requirements

Fellowship-trained in Hand Surgery
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Trained to care for general orthopedic conditions
MD or DO degree
Active or eligible for Virginia state licensure

Responsibilities

Work alongside specialists in general orthopedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma.
Participate in general orthopedic call.
Perform common Hand Surgery procedures including carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, hand and wrist fracture repair, tendon repair and reconstruction, nerve repair and decompression, joint replacement (hand and wrist), ligament reconstruction, treatment of arthritis in the hand and wrist, microsurgery, and management of congenital hand conditions.
